Day 1:- Arrive at Delhi.
Reach Delhi in the evening and relax at hotel.
Overnight will be at Delhi.
Day 2:- Delhi - Chandigarh
By Train: (SHATABDI EXPRESS) (0740/1100)
Chandigarh - Manali
By Road: 315 km in 6-7 hrs drive

In
the morning you will be transferred to the station for SHATABDI EXPRESS
to Chandigarh. The car will pick you up at the station and start drive to
Manali.
Continue drive to Manali, and you will find the drive through the small
markets and villages, well worth the time the moment you cross Bilaspur,
Mandi, Kullu and other small markets. And start the run up along side the
RIVER BEAS to Manali. The first sight of the Icy Mountains cradling this
picturesque township in their fold seems so inviting that the foot on the
accelerator gets a shade firmer. And the rumbles in your tummy no longer
care for sickness but excitement. En route pass through the Mandi - Mandi
is the gateway to the Kullu Valley Kangra valley and Shimla. About the 15
km south to Kulu in the village of Banjaura is the Basheshar Mahadev, The
largest stone temple in the Kullu valley.
Late evening arrive at Manali on arrival check in the hotel for overnight
with dinner.
Overnight will be at Manali.
Day 3:- Manali
Proceed for a Full Day excursion of the hill queen.
The white peaks send a cheerful welcome to the Land of Snowballs and Skiing
as a matter of fact Manali is the first choice of many people who want

to
see and touch snow for the first time. First times trippers to Manali will
invariably want to sues out old favorites such as the 16th century Hadimba
Temple, the Hot spring at Vashisht and even speculate anout the life and
times Old Manali - the hippy enclave. But the lure of the playing fields
of the Solang Valley. Naggar 28 km from the Manali, a picturesque tiny village
set on a hill, Naggar is the starting points for the treks over the Chandrakhani
pass. The town is host to the Roerich Art Gallery that used to be the home
of artist Nicholas Roerich and his wife Devika Rani. Amongst the ancient
temples in the area are the 12th century Gauri Shankar temple and the Chatar
Bhuj Temple.
Return to the hotel or explore the local markets.
Overnight will be at Manali.
Day 4:- Manali - Jispa (3,182m)
By Road: 117 km in 5 hrs drive
Early morning drive to Jispa after breakfast, through the Rohatang Pass
13,060 ft. around 51 km climb up to the Rohatang along a rough bridle path
and once on top, enjoy the stunning panoramas of the array of snow peaks
and glaciers. En route stop off at snow point a static point as it shifts
with the snow.
En route visit the Keylong. Keylong at an elevation of 3350 m. is situated
on the Manali-Leh road is the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti. It is the
only place in Lahaul, which has a regular bazaar. It is ideally situated
in the heart of the Himalayas in the lonely cornet with highs cliffs in
the front covered with snow. This place is lush green. The climate of this
place is dry and bracing but winters are very severe. Keylong located above
Bhaga river the district headquarters of Lahaul Spiti has been described
as oasis of green field. Three well known monasteries Tayul, Khardong, Gemur
and Sha-Shur are within a few kilometer radius. After lunch take at Keylong
visit the monasteries than drive Jispa. Rest day walk around the Jispa village.
Over night at Hotel.
Day 5:- Jispa - Sarchu
By Road: 142 km in 5 hrs drive
Early morning take the breakfast continue drive to Sarchu through the Darcha
village. This place is the gateway for the trekker's to Lamayuru via Zanskar
valley. We stop there for checking, because this is the last check post
in the Himachal. we verify our passport and another documents. Than cross
the Barlacha Pass (4650m). Sarchu is the very open place on the bank of
the Bhaga river. The evening is too much windy. Over night at the tent.
Day 6:- Sarchu - Karzok Village: (4267m)
By Road: 118 km in 6 hrs drive
After breakfast drive to Pang. En route we cross the wild animal. Pang is
the tiny migrated markets in Leh-Manali road. The person who run the shops
these are Ladakhi. They are shifted there for few month as mid June till
Sep. Just cross the Pang, drive up. After the up hill drive we find the
plain area around 60 km till base of Tanglanla (5400m). before Tanglanla
we take right turn to Karzok village. The gompa here is quite unusual because
it is inhabited predominantly by women, who often spend their day making
beautiful garments for themselves. The gompa was built in about 1850 replacing
one replacing one destroyed during Dogra invasion. Rest day explore the
village. Overnight in the tent.
Day 7:- Karzok/ Tsomoriri/ Tsokar
Excursion
Full day visit the lake side the small collection of huts. Tso Moriri is
situated at an altitune of 4573m form south east from Leh. It is like a
pearl shape and contains large mineral deposits. The circumference of the
lake is abound 36 km. Here you must register and show your permit. Tsokar
about 7km from Tsomoriri. There is a small gompa. At the village of Thukse
a collection of solid brick huts set up for the dramatic winters. Late evening
return the camp for overnight.
Day 8:- Karzok - Leh
By Road: 220 km in 6-7 hrs drive
After breakfast drive to Leh.
Leh:
Leh is the capital of Ladakh, lies nestled among low hills on the north
side of the Indus Valley, between the Stok Mountains to the south and the
Ladakh Range to the north, for centuries it has been a place where travelers
of different nationalities have rested, In the 15th century both Leh and
the village of Shey shared the responsibility of being the capitals of Upper
Ladakh, Shey was the more fortified of the two, while Leh was in the prime
position for trade. The town's growth in importance is relegated by the
building of the first royal residency on top of Namguyal peaks. Leh's prosperity
derived from its location at the foot of the Khardung La, the gateway of
the infamous trade route to Yarkand in Turkistan. the trade involved the
people of Leh at all levels, a few undergoing the rigorous journey over
the mountains themselves, some merely setting up as merchants. Am free for
visit the local markets and individual activities. Pm sightseeing of Shanti
Stupa, Shankar Gompa, Namgyal Tsom.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9:- Leh
Full day Sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey, Hemis & Stok Palace.
Day 10:- Leh - Nubra Valley: (3075m)
By Road: 150 km in 6 hrs drive
Early morning drive via the highest motorable Khardongla Pass (5580m) the
major attraction are majestic peaks and glaciers, enchanting valley and
villages, Diskit and Samstanling Gompa, Palanmik hot spring double hump
camel safari, river rafting, trekking and sun bath at Hunder are of great
attraction for the visitors. The valley is popularly known as Ldomra or
the Valley of Flowers. It is situated in thenorht of Ladakh between Karakorm
and Ladakh range fo Himalayas, Nubra lies at an average altitude of about
3033m. The climate of the areas being soft, soil is much fertile and the
vegetation fo the area is comparatively thicker than those of the other
area of Ladakh. Nubra is largely drained by Shayok river and Siachen river
forms its single largest tributary. Nubra is a broad valley with lofty monitions
on its all sides. Valley assumes greater attractions at the site where both
the rivers meet. The formation of central part of Nubra also takes place
there.
Day 11:- Diskit - Hunder - Panamik - Diskit:
By Road: 180 km in 6-7 hrs drive
Full day Excursion of Nubra valley. Hunder is the pretty village set among
lots of trees and gurgling streams. Diskit is the sub divisional HQ. Of
Nubra. Diskit gompa is alost situated at a height of about 200m above the
village. On the spur of the rocky mountain and at the most commanding points
hveing clear view of the entire central part of Nubra. Samstanling Gompa
is situated on the north facing Diskit Gompa. This gompa is equally important
and recreationally it assumes greater importance for being situated at a
scenic view point at the foot hill of Karakoram ranges up above Tiger and
Summur village, amidst plenty of water and high vegetation. Major village
viz. Khardong, Khalsar, Tirit, Summur, Tiger, Titisha and Panamik.
After full day excursion of these villages. Overnight at Camp.
Day 12:- Nubra- Basgo
After breakfast drive to Basgo. Basgo was the capital of lower Ladakh before
the Ladakh kingdom was united at Leh. Old mud-brick gompa is up winding,
steep tracks. The prayer room is Ser Zung Temple has great frescoes, another
temple has an enormous gold and copper statue of the Maitreya Buddha.
Overnight share the dinner with a local family, enjoy the local food, local
folk dance, song and local wine.
Day 13:- Basgo - Alchi - Lamayuru: (3390m)
By Road: 315 km in 6-7 hrs drive

After breakfast drive to drive to Alchi village, Alchi gompa is the only
one in Ladakh on flat ground, so no knee breaking climb is involved. The
gompa was founded in the 11th century by the great translator, Ringchen
Zangpo. On his return from India which accounts for the Indian, & particularly
Kashmiri, influnece. The three story Dharma Wheel Gompa (actually run by
the gompa in Likir) is noted for massive Buddha statues. After visit the
monastery drive to Lamayuru. Lamayuru is the gateway points of the Zanskar
valley. Lamayuru will seem a relatively scruffy little place. But it is
completely overshadowed by one of the most famous and spectacularly set
gompas in Ladakh. The gompa part of the Kagyupa order, is not a interesting
as others, Lamayuru is the oldest known gompa in Ladakh, dating back beyond
10th century.
Overnight near the monastery and see the evening pray in the gompa.
Day 14:- Lamayuru - Drokhpa Area (2600m):
By Road: 91 km in 4-5 hrs drive
Drokhpa area is along the Indus river and mail village are Dunkhar, Tirit,
Skurbuchan, Hanudo, Biama and Dha, on the road to Baltistan. Inhabitants
are called Drokhpas, belong to the purest of pure form Aryan race, they
are tall, handsome and hospitable. Drokhapas are believed to have migrated
to this area via Gilgit around 1000 years ago from central Asia. The man
women and children wear heavy metallic ear-rings. Rest day explore the Biama
village, the Pashmina village. Sheep breeding and apricot cultivation is
in the main business.
Overnight at camp.
Day 15:- Biama - Dha - Biama:
By Road: 80 km in 3 hrs drive
Biama is the village of handicrafts and Shawls Dha and Hanudo visit the
community center where children are trained in shawl weaving and local handicraft.
Full day visit the rural area. Overnight camp at Biama.
Day 16:- Biama - Basgo or Ney:
By Road: 129 km in 6 hrs drive
After breakfast drive to Basgo. En route visit Rizong Gompa. Than continue
drive to Ney. Ney is a pleasant palace to stop for overnight. This is the
junction of the different colored Indus & Zanskar river. Overnight at
Monastery or in the local house.
Day 17:- Basgo or Ney/Leh
By Road: 36 km in 1 hr drive
Early morning take the tea or snacks than continue drive to Leh airport
the ETD 0735 hrs/ ETA 0850 hrs.
Spend day at Delhi (sightseeing or relaxing) and check out late for flight
to home.
